Follow Wisdom, Not Feelings |The 180 Report Newsletter #1
Editor’s Note
Welcome to the very first issue of The 180 Report — a new publication from StoryWorkHouse Media, where faith meets culture.
Today we’re talking about a word that’s easy to say but hard to live out: Wisdom.
We live in a world shouting, “Follow your heart!” But what if your heart’s wrong?
God’s Word calls us to follow wisdom instead — to trust Him when our feelings scream louder than our faith.
Featured Article: Follow Wisdom, Not Feelings
Wisdom isn’t just being smart — it’s knowing what’s right and doing it.
When Solomon became king, he could’ve asked God for anything: wealth, fame, or power.
But he asked for wisdom — the heart to lead well and choose right.
God was so pleased that He gave Solomon everything else he didn’t ask for.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6
True wisdom starts with trust. Before your next big decision, ask:
Am I following my feelings, or am I following wisdom?
Prayer:
“God, I don’t want to just do what feels right — I want to do what is right. Teach me wisdom.”
Faith in Action: The Daniel Example
Daniel was a teenager in captivity who chose conviction over compromise.
He refused the king’s food and stayed faithful to God — even when it wasn’t popular.
Because of that, God gave him understanding beyond his years and influence that reached nations.
“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens.”
— Daniel 12:3
Wisdom doesn’t come from trends; it comes from trust.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.”
— James 1:5
Final Thought
When we build with wisdom, we build steady.
Ask yourself this week:
Am I listening for God’s voice before I make my next move?
