Our Foundation

StoryWorkHouse is a Christian, non denominational creative house committed to helping the next generation know Jesus Christ, understand God’s Word, grow in faith, and live with purpose.

We create stories, media, resources, and experiences for teens while equipping the adults who influence them. Our projects may take many different forms, but the biblical foundation behind them remains the same.

The Bible is our foundation. Jesus is our message. Making disciples is our mission.

What We Believe

• We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, true, trustworthy, relevant, and authoritative for what we believe and how we live.

• We believe every human being is created by God in His image, giving every person inherent value, dignity, and purpose.

• We believe humanity has been separated from God by sin and that every person is in need of forgiveness, redemption, and reconciliation with God.

• We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is the only way to reconciliation with God.

• We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation cannot be earned through human effort, goodness, achievement, or religious activity.

• We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the lives of believers, convicting, guiding, teaching, transforming, empowering, and helping us become more like Jesus.

• We believe truth ultimately comes from God. Scripture provides the foundation through which we understand morality, identity, purpose, relationships, and faithful living.

• We believe followers of Jesus are called to love God fully and love others faithfully. Our faith should shape our thoughts, words, choices, relationships, priorities, and actions.

• We believe in the Church, the community of believers called to worship God, encourage one another, make disciples, serve others, and carry the Gospel into the world.

• We believe every follower of Jesus has been called to participate in God’s work. Christians are not simply called to believe, but to live lives of obedience, service, generosity, compassion, courage, and faithfulness.

• We believe Jesus Christ will return, and that our ultimate hope is found in Him, the resurrection, and eternal life with God.

Across Denominations

StoryWorkHouse is not affiliated with or created to advance a particular Christian denomination.

We desire to serve Christians from a variety of church traditions while remaining firmly rooted in the essential truths of historic, biblical Christianity.

We recognize that faithful Christians may hold different convictions concerning secondary doctrines, church traditions, worship styles, ministry methods, and other areas of Christian practice.

Those differences do not require us to ignore theology or avoid difficult subjects. When differences within the Christian community are relevant to something we create, StoryWorkHouse will seek to represent those perspectives fairly, encourage thoughtful engagement with Scripture, and keep Jesus Christ at the center of the conversation.

Our goal is not to make every Christian agree on every secondary issue.

Our goal is to help people know what they believe, understand why they believe it, search the Scriptures, and grow as disciples of Jesus.

Our Commitment to the Next Generation

StoryWorkHouse has a particular heart for teenagers and the adults who influence them.

We believe young people should be encouraged to ask meaningful questions, wrestle honestly with faith, study Scripture, develop a biblical worldview, participate in the local church, discover how God has gifted them, and learn to follow Jesus personally.

We want to help teens move beyond simply inheriting the faith of the adults around them and toward developing a faith in Jesus Christ that they understand, embrace, and live for themselves.

We also believe parents, youth leaders, pastors, teachers, mentors, and other trusted adults play an important role in that process. StoryWorkHouse seeks to create resources that support those relationships rather than replace them.

Our Creative Commitment

StoryWorkHouse exists at the intersection of faith and imagination.

We believe creativity is a gift from God and can be used to tell stories, ask questions, communicate truth, encourage conversation, strengthen relationships, and help people see familiar truths in new ways.

Whether we are creating a book, magazine, video, podcast, story, curriculum, event, or something that has not yet been imagined, our desire remains the same:

To use creativity to point people toward truth, purpose, and Jesus Christ.

One Foundation. Many Expressions.

StoryWorkHouse may create for different audiences and through different platforms, but every StoryWorkHouse project operates under this Statement of Faith.

That includes Youth Group Magazine and the books, media, resources, and creative experiences produced under the StoryWorkHouse name.
