YGM AI Transparency Policy
At Youth Group Magazine, we believe creativity is a gift from God, and we also believe tools can help people use that gift with wisdom, excellence, and purpose.
Because of that, we want to be honest with our readers about how we use Artificial Intelligence, also known as AI.
We do use AI as a creative and editorial tool. We do not see AI as a replacement for human writers, editors, artists, parents, youth leaders, students, or real-life experience. We see it as a tool that can help us organize ideas, ask better questions, develop stronger article outlines, shape rough thoughts into readable drafts, and support the creative process.
One of the main ways we use AI is through our YGM article templates. These templates were created to help guide writers through the process of building an article. Instead of simply telling someone, “Write an article,” the templates ask helpful questions, almost like an interview. They help the writer think through the purpose of the article, the audience, the Scripture, the main message, the real-life issue, the practical application, and the final encouragement.
In that way, AI helps us collaborate. It helps us slow down, think clearly, and bring structure to the writing process. But the heart, testimony, wisdom, experience, and spiritual responsibility still belong to people.
We also use AI-generated images as part of our creative design process. Sometimes these images help us imagine a layout, inspire a magazine design, or provide article artwork when a traditional photo is not available. These images are used to support the message of the article and help create a visual reading experience for teens, parents, and youth leaders.
We believe our readers deserve honesty. When AI helps shape content, images, prompts, templates, or design direction, we want to be clear that it is being used as a tool, not as the final authority.
The final responsibility for what appears in Youth Group Magazine belongs to our human editorial process. Articles should be reviewed for biblical faithfulness, accuracy, clarity, tone, and care for our readers. AI may assist the work, but it does not replace prayer, Scripture, wisdom, discernment, or human accountability.
Our goal is not to hide the use of AI. Our goal is to use it honestly, carefully, creatively, and responsibly.
Youth Group Magazine exists to help teens grow in faith, ask honest questions, discover their God-given purpose, and follow Jesus in everyday life. Any tool we use should serve that mission.
